Steel Days

We had such a blast at Steel Days this year!
It was a nonstop day of festivities and fun!
We started it with the parade, of course.
Grandpa Carl Ingersoll was the Grand Marshall.
I know he isn't technically my grandpa but he is such a good man I want to claim him.
Plus he gives me kisses like I am is grand-daughter and
he has known Billy since he was a kid.
So he is ours :)
Then of course we went to JCW's. It's Tradition.
And last minute went boating!
The boys on the Tube!
Me and my hubs :)
Goof Balls!
Sisters!
The Captain- Thanks Dad!!
Then we hurried home got ready and went to the
 Kansas Concert at AFHS.
We had lots of fun, we witnessed about 4 fights/arguments.
Who knew people in American Fork were so mean!!
It was quite entertaining though!
I know... What is Lydia's face?? ha ha
Cuties.
The Fam minus Nate and Desi who we always miss!
She was ROCKIN it... and LOVIN it!
Check out that face!
The Newlyweds-happy as ever!!
My spot got taken during the fireworks.
They are in love....but I love it.
She straight up told me while boating that she was the Princess and Billy was her Prince. I guess that makes me the peasant. :(
Such a fun weekend with my family!! Love times like these :)

Malta, Idaho

My brother and his cute family live in Malta, Idaho.
As you drive into town you pass a sign that reads.
Malta, Idaho
Population 177
Although, I think that sign is a little outdated it gives you an idea of how small this town is.
We had such a blast spending time with them and their two kids!
They are the cutest little family!
When we got there we checked a few things on the farm and watched Ryker catch a mink.
He is two and held a mink. Crazy!
I wish I had my camera!
Then we went shooting in their backyard. Literally!
We had so much fun and I actually hit a skeet!
Billy shooting the skeet!
My cute sister in-law Desi. Love her!!
My brother Nate
My cute nephew Ryker!
It was a billion degrees so this lovely lady stayed in the air conditioning :)
I love this picture!
It was a little loud for her baby ears :)
Later that night we had a BBQ with his friends
and went to the towns 4th of July festivities.
how cute are they!?!?
They were best buds all weekend.
I love this picture! Just checkin out the cows!
He looks like he could be ours!
Blonde hair and Blue eyes :)
After dinner we headed over to the park for the town celebration.
They had a petting zoo with about 10 different animals
that the kids could play with.
A really old Teeter Totter.
I forgot how fun those are! We had lots of good laughs!
Including this picture! ha ha
They had train rides, free snow cones and cotton candy,
they gave away prizes  and she got these funny star sunglasses!
But my favorite of all had to be the Toilet Toss.
Yes, they had a real porcelain toilet that they would throw.
Only in Malta would they have a toilet toss for entertainment.
Here are a few pictures of my brother-
Check out those muscles, face and farmers tan!
He is really becoming a maltan hick!
They finished off the night with a firework show!
It was probably the longest firework show i have ever been to.
They would light about 3 then we would wait 2 minutes and they would light some more.
I think Billy even fell asleep in between the fireworks!
We got a good laugh out of that, but we loved it!

Although it is a VERY small town it really puts things into perspective.
I love that their life was so simplified. They don't need really nice things to be happy or anything grand for entertainment. They have eachother and the gospel and that is all they need. I loved it!
They really depend on eachother and do everything as a family!
Billy is hooked on moving next door to my brother, or any other small town and raising sheep.
When I asked him why he wants to raise sheep he said..
I dont know I just picked something and your dad has every other animal! ha
So, don't be surprised if you see us herding sheep someday!
Thanks Nate and Desi for such a fun weekend!
We love you guys!

21 and Legal

I am finally 21!
I think now I want to stop getting older and stay 21!
Billy told me I am an official adult now.
I thought that happened three years ago when I turned 18.
I guess I was still immature
(even though we were dating when I was 18)
It was such a fun birthday.
My mom took me to lunch on my lunch break.
It was fun to be able to go with just the two of us.
She is the greatest lady in the world.
After work I got to open up my presents from my parents.
I kind of thought when you are married you get cut off from so many gifts.
Not from my mom. She is the best!
She got me a great iron and some of the cutest new clothes!
I love it when she shops for me.
Billy then took me to dinner at Market Street Grill! So good!
We had to go to Market Street since last time we went, our friends made reservations at the bar. I didn't think anything of it until we get there and they ask to see our ID, my face went bright red I look at Billy so embarrassed and said uh.... I am only 20. They wouldn't let us sit in the bar and we had to get a new table.
Billy and I still didn't sit at the bar our reservation was at the grill, it was still delicious and a fun night!
After dinner we went shopping and tried to find me some new birthday clothes. There wasnt really anything that I loved, but we did find Billy some new Sunday clothes! I love them. He is a hottie!
I don't know what it is about him buying stuff on my birthday but it has seemed to be quite the tradition!
He bought me a new tennis racquet and these new shoes which I love!!
The Story behind the beloved shoes:
I have wanted these shoes for 3 months, literally.
I could never get myself to buy them though. They were 90 dollars and I really don't need them.
I checked in frequently and called to see if they had gone on sale, I kept getting the same answer. nope!
Billy and I went and looked at them the Monday before my birthday they only had one pair in my size left, one pair! Still a little out of our budget I passed on them once again!
My birthday came and we had looked around for other shoes but I didn't love anything as much as those. He kept telling me we can just buy the ones I love, I gave in and decided that is what I wanted. We finally go to the store to buy them, after 3 long months of debating. We get there  and my size is gone!!
Just my luck! I finally go to get them and they are gone. I was having the lady check other stores, I was so bummed! I just kept telling Billy how much I loved them and how I had the worst luck. He was playing along so good! Telling me how bad he felt and that I should have just bought them from the beginning etc.
We get home later that night and are getting ready for bed and he leaves the light in the Kitchen on.
I absolutely hate when he leaves the lights on and he always makes me turn them off.
He is pretending like he is totally falling asleep and begs me to turn it off. I kept saying but Billy it is my Birthday can't you just do it for my birthday?
Of course I go turn it off because I am the "closest"
I walk out there and....
On the table were the shoes and the sweetest birthday card!!
I was laughing so hard- he got me so good!!
I cannot believe he pulled it off so well, but I love them if you cant tell by my face in the picture!
He is the best!!
The celebrating wasn't quite over, the Burgess' brought me flowers and the sweetest card on my Birthday then we had my Birthday dinner the next week.
They have a tradition in their family to have a birthday dinner and say why you love the one having a birthday. It is quite awkward being in that position! But they all said the sweetest things and I feel so blessed to have them as in-laws.
These two cuties took me out to dinner. It was so much fun to see them and spend time with them.
We don't get to do it enough and I miss them!
I feel so blessed and lucky to have so many friends and family to make my birthday perfect!!
Now that I am 21 I gotta go do somethin crazy!! maybe pull the slots :)
Thankyou all!
