Powell Paradise

Lake Powell could be one of the greatest
places on earth. We got to go down with
my family over the 24th of July.
Unfortunately for us we had to
work so only got a few days,
but it was so worth the trip down!

The first day we hiked "hole in the rock" it is the place where the pioneers
had to pull their handcarts down. Rae McCormack was with us on the trip and read a 800 page book just on that one place. He shared with us some awesome stories that took place at that one spot.
The pioneers were pretty darn tough! It was a great experience learning more about them.
I cannot imagine pulling a handcart down
It was hard enough trying to climb up and down the boulders by myself!

Our next adventure of the day
Rainbow Bridge
It is pretty amazing!

Of course the boys.. were so entertained by the fish.

This could be my favorite picture of the trip.
Lydia is so funny! We were telling her to push
brandon in and she kept making the funniest faces
because she was so nervous.
Plus i love the sunflower seeds in her hand.

Poor Billy has such white skin that he just gets fried!
We put sun screen on him literally 10 times a day.
But this is what he ended up doing to solve the issue. ha ha
Such a dork!
 We loved the wave runners!
Billy was laughing so hard everytime we would get on it.

Such a fun family trip.
We are so grateful that we got to go!
Thanks to my parents who worked so hard to make it a blast!
Until next year.

California!

We decided we really needed a vacation, it was pretty spur of the moment but I already got monday off for the fourth so we decided to take tuesday off too! We went down with our really good friends Sam and Shawnee. We left Friday night after Billy got off of work, and drove to Vegas slept for a couple hours and got up at what we thought was 5:30 but forgot about the time change so it was really 4:30. We just wanted to get to our lovely hotel extra early.....

speaking of our hotel... Now looking back it is pretty dang funny but at the time I was so nervous. So of course being poor, we booked the cheapest hotel we could find. Little did us neive newlyweds know we stayed in Inglewood, which is apparently a pretty bad area. And we had a quick reality check as soon as we pulled up to our hotel surrounded with brick walls and barbwire on the top, an electric gate to get into the parking lot and not one american in sight. Lets just say we stood out like a sore thumb! Billy goes to check in, and of course we are begging him to cancel. They wont let us so we decide to go up to our hotel room. We get in.... stains on the carpet, looks like it hadn't been vaccummed in weeks. Billy sits on the bed all we hear is eeee eeee eeee I thought it was going to break! But I was laughing so hard! Then we pull of the bedspread and their was a HUGE hairball. If that wasn't enough we pulled open the Curtains and we don't even have a real window.. Our window is like blinds that can open and shut and not just from the inside!!! That is when I really was really getting nervous. We tried everything to cancel! Its a long story but they were just not helpful and their were so many different nationalities. We go down to the front desk to see if there was anything they could do, and of course the answer was no. But while we are standing there, we see this sign about their rental cars and it says:

CAR RENTALS
International Drivers License------------Okay
Under Age Drivers---------------------Okay
Cash Only-----------------------------Okay

I start laughing so hard, I could not believe it! Under Age Drivers were okay. That is just proof of how unproffesional and trashy our hotel was. It was quite the adventure. Billy and Sam thought we were over exaggerating but I know they were a little nervous to stay their themselves, being little white boys.

After our lovely adventure at the hotel, we needed to get out. We decided we would check out LA and Hollywood.. Which was cool but a little different than everyone talks it up to be. I went a couple years ago with my friends and it seemed a lot better, maybe because we did a lot of shopping!

It didn't take the guys long to decide shopping wasn't their thing and they wanted to head to the beach..

The boys checkin out the waves..

The next day we went to Six Flags, I was so excited to go. Rollercoasters are one of my favorite things. Of course I got sick on the second ride and was shot for the day. But it was all worth it to go on the first ride with Billy. He was pretty nervous.. which was even funnier considering he isn't one to show much emotion. I am not going to lie it was a HUGE straight down drop. We start heading up the tracks and I could tell he was a little nervous. Before we knew it we were on a straight down drop! I look over at billy and he is yelling I CANT BREATHE! ha ha ha It totally took his breath away. He claims that he said that on purpose but I know for fact he didnt! I could not stop laughing the whole ride, everytime I looked over his facials were funnier and funnier. By the time the roller coaster ended I was crying. We get to the photo booth and all of us have our hands up and are having a blast and billy is holding tight to the handles and has a scared look on his face! It was so funny, I am regretting not buying the picture.

We spent the next day back and the beach and just kinda relaxing.

Boogie Boarding
My hot hubby :)
The Cheesecake Factory Mmm Mmm Mmm

It was so much fun to be able to have a little get away for the weekend. It was much needed and we were so lucky that we got to go and have such a great time! I think we need to make it a tradition :)

Backstreets Back... Alright!

For my birthday my sisters
got us backstreet boys tickets!
I couldn't believe they were actually
 coming back to concert.
It definitely brings back so
many memories!

We had floor seats!
Me and my good friend Courtney

They were pretty funny..
They had matching hoodies with big
sparkly B's on the back with wifebeaters.
They did cheesy dance moves all syncronized,
I wonder if they used the same routine as they did
17 years ago?? their moves were pretty outdated.
They had these corny videos they played.
Their dance moves matched the words in the songs.

but I have to admit...

I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

Sisters :)

Jenni officially is in love with Nick Carter.
She kept SCREAMING, and i mean SCREAMING
I LOVE YOU NICK!
It was SOOO funny!

The whole crew!

It was such a fun concert, I am SO glad we went!
Thanks girls for such a fun night.
Love you all.

Birthday Bash!

Billy and I are both so relieved that I am finally 20! He always jokes that he will no longer be married to a teen, he will no longer be robbing the cradle and he will stop babysitting. Ya I know HA HA HA.
The jokes are over because I am now 20!

My Birthday was such a blast and I was definitely spoiled!
I took the whole day of work off, which was much needed.
Billy and I spent the whole day together and did lots of fun things!

Starting with...

A New Camera! Billy totally surprised me. I was so excited and I LOVE IT!
We started out the day by going to get Kneaders French Toast.. MMM MMM MMM!

Then we went and played tennis for a while, I am still learning but it is our new favorite thing :)

We went to lunch with my mom and sisters at Chilis..

We went Golfing, I learned that Golf is not my sport!
I think I missed the ball more than I hit it, we got some good laughs ;)

Golfing was so hot! The sun took it out of me.. So we took a nap, and just hung out (which was great because we hardly ever get to do that!)
Then once again.. We went to eat. I honestly felt like we ate the whole day.
But I am not complaining!
It was a very fun Birthday Dinner at Olive Garden!

It was such a fun Birthday thanks to my sweet husband who planned it all!
Love you, thanks for making it such a wonderful day!

I am finally not a teenager! Woot Woot!

Great West Champs!

What a great way to end the season with the Conference Championship!
UVU had a great team this year, it was so fun to watch them play.
It was great getting to know the players families and the other wives!
I wish so bad I could have gone with him, next year we will have to plan ahead.
I don't think I can handle another two week trip. :(
Billy had a great season and he is already getting ready for next year.
I am so proud of him and all the hard work he has put into baseball and school.
It really is like having two full time jobs!
Even with the crazy baseball schedule he got a 4.0!!!
Way to go Billy!
It was so fun to watch the team succeed and win the Title!

Go UV!

Here are some fun Pictures from the Tournament!

Way to go UVU!
Until Next Year.... :)
